There are so many stylish boards out there, why cover it with something that’s mundane? This is how I felt after getting my first custom board and realizing that nothing matched up to its beautiful hand crafted style.
In the midst of the pandemic, I conceptualized a simple design for a hand sewn board bag for my new 9’10 Bones Surf Co. log. This was my first custom board and I needed a bag that would protect it from the sand and sun of everyday use, but would match the unique flare of my longboard that I wasn’t able to find in stores or online.
I’ve always had a love for old school retro surf films, which inspired me to create Ride the Wave Surf Co to bring this bold but classic style to board bags.
Here’s to the vintage flair living on for a long time to come.
